Southern culture and counter-culture are my two biggest influences in design. While drawing inspiration from previous eras, my work blends the design elements of these cultures to create a new visual with a nostalgic feel.
Growing up, there were three distinct aesthetics that caught my eye; the everyday attire of blue collar workers and craftsman, the leisurely, Ivy League prep look, and the many styles found in skateboarding culture.
I wanted to encompass all of these lifestyles. I really tried, but it's tough to live that out authentically in middle and high school.
Since then, I've found myself submersed in each of these cultures at one time or another. In fashion design school, I blended these experiences and design styles together to create the Wright's 2020 collection.
With a degree in fashion design and 3 years of design experience under my belt, I now want to help brands bring their own aesthetic and product line to its fullest potential through design, branding, and content creation.
